The Standard Temperature Control Trainer - Model T-3C
The Temperature Control Trainer as with the other single loop trainers is ruggedly designed for student use. This trainer teaches students how to measure and maintain temperature in a process control system. Temperature measurements of fluid in the reservoir are taken by temperature sensing elements. These devices may be thermocouples, filled bulbs, and resistance temperature detectors. They have electronic or pneumatic outputs depending on the control instruments selected. A resistance heater is used to add heat to the system and a forced air heat exchanger with variable controls is used for introducing load changes. the control will overcome the upset and return the process to set point.
Specific temperature include:
Expansion chamber Heat exchanger
Fan/cooler Dial thermometer
Pneumatic temperature transmitter Temperature probe mounted reservoir
Temperature controller (electronic and/or pneumatic)
